If you think you’re going to major in psychology, for example, and walk out into a nice job, I suggest you reconsider. Educate yourself on what sells in the market, then prepare accordingly. However, always follow your passions - if you think physics sells, ensure you love physics otherwise you’ll not survive the academic work.</p>
