Scary thought- colleges revoking their decision?

<p>i think (rumors) at my school, teachers go lenient on students once they get into top colleges. They don't want you to lose your letter of admssions because it hurts our school's reputation.</p>

<p>As a previous poster pointed out, it's less likely that they would rescind acceptance outright. More likely outcomes are academic probation and/or having to explain the situation and otherwise apologize. Either way, though, it's going to be a hassle to clean up.</p>

<p>Another thing to consider: you might need to show those grades for purposes other than college admission. Scholarships and internships taken in the first year of college may request a high school transcript. You just never know when you might need it. I applied to the university honors program in my third year of college and was asked for my complete high school transcript then.</p>
