SCEA and others

So, I noticed on the website that it said if you apply scea at yale, you may not apply early decision anywhere else or to another early action at a private school. So could I also apply early action (non binding) at a public school? UVA, UNC, etc. maybe I'm just confused.

Or I guess the question could be rephrased as: To the people applying SCEA, are you applying anywhere else for early or rolling admissions?

Yeah, I’m applying Yale SCEA and EA to University of Michigan and Miami University (not Florida). I think you can apply EA to other schools as long as they are public.

Thanks. It would make sense to try and get as many applications out of the way as possible.

[Frequently Asked Questions - Single-Choice Early Action | Yale College Admissions](<a href=“Single-Choice Early Action | Yale College Undergraduate Admissions”>Single-Choice Early Action | Yale College Undergraduate Admissions)

QUESTION: I am applying to Yale under the Single-Choice Early Action Program. Can you explain the rules about applying to other colleges that have early notification programs?

ANSWER: If you are a Single-Choice Early Action applicant to Yale, you may apply to another institution’s early admission program as follows:

• You may apply to any college’s non-binding rolling admission program.
• You may apply to any public institution at any time provided that admission is non-binding.
• You may apply to another college’s Early Decision II program, but only if the notification of admission occurs after January 1. If you are admitted through another college’s Early Decision II binding program, you must withdraw your application from Yale.
• You may apply to any institution outside of the United States at any time.
