Because New Haven is practically Miami in terms of weather.

hahahahhahahahahaha

New Haven is just so warm! It's like being in the tropics.

@ Ephemeral

Yeah, New Haven is cold. I live like an hour away (on the same latitude-ish-ness), but Ithaca is a) inland (cold) and b) further north (doubly cold). I can deal with the cold where I am. And the occasional snow is nice. And I love fall weather. BUT ITHACA DOESN'T HAVE A FALL. This is upstate NY in terms of seasons. Summer. Peeps come to college. Momentary bipolarism. SNOW (in October). Freezing Hollows of Winter. For like. 4 months. Momentary bipolarism again. Nasty, wet, cold weather plus sometimes snow/slush (until April/May-ish). FINALLY SUMMER (but everyone returns home before they get any warm weather).

And I'm glad New Haven isn't Miami in terms of weather. I would hate the lack of fall colors. And I prefer the brisk cold to insufferable humidity and heat. And snow! I love snow... I also really like my winter coats and boots and scarves (oh my gawd, I love scarves so much), so I would really hate not being able to wear them. But I also love my toes. And being able to feel them when I am outside. So you have to find a happy medium.

It's actually really interesting. If you drive north from where I live, sometimes, you can basically go through all of the fall to winter progression in like 2 hours (depending on the time of year). From lush green trees, to fall colors, to bare trees, to snow. Is there huge difference between New Haven weather and Ithaca weather? YES. So much.

I don't think this post made much sense, but you can interpret? Yes, that is what I am going with.

Yale is top, then Brown, Rice, Columbia, and Emory.
