wow you guys are already thinking about this? it's summer. the app probably isn't online yet. GO HAVE FUN OR ELSE.
jk I know it's good to plan ahead and I definitely resepct your choices to apply early :p.

Well, considering the fact that I'm spending every weekday at Stanford this summer, I'd say that I have quite a bit of it on my mind at the moment. ;]

golly yall
go have some fun
be stupid
"being grown up isnt half as fun as growing up
these are the best days of our lives...: -ataris
dont spend all your time thinking about stanford
cause what if you dont get in?
so yea, go have a life
:)

Way to be optimistic. (note the sarcasm)

i am optimistic
i also want you to enjoy your youth
but its good your planning ahead
improving your chances of getting in
and surpassing myself
best of luck!
(no sarcasm)

I can't decide if I should. It's either SCEA with my junior year grades (I had an ever-so-slight end-of-year slump due to family issues and other things) or RD with my first trimester senior grades (which I know will be higher). Would the SCEA "boost", if there is one, be enough to neutralize that one 5 (equivalent to a B) in third trimester IB History SL? No one knows. (cue dramatic narrator voice.)

...I'm really indecisive.
(And I use too many parentheses.)

Your issues can be explained in the essay.

And one B won't kill you. I've had Bs and Cs before and I'm applying.

Take the risk. SCEA.

agreed; don't worry too much about one B. but seeing your courseload. you shouldn't apply SCEA lol, so other SCEAers (with less than spectacular grades) have a chance =).

Oh, I know, it's just the whole "downward trend" thing. I don't know. I'm definitely seriously considering SCEA, but... ahh!

Maybe I should just come back in a month and see how I feel about it.

On the other hand, Stanford, Harvard, and Yale are the only schools I can realistically apply early to, given my financial restrictions and international-in-theory-if-not-in-practice status... and I'm not interested in Harvard or Yale...

So now that you've seen my entire thought process...
Whatever, I'm in.

good luck with the whole application process everyone! i'm really going to have to stand out because about 20 students apply early stanford from my school every year (comp public school about 20 miles from stanford)

I have a pretty slim chance...but it never hurts to try!

is SCEA Stanford College Early Action? If it is, whats advantages and disadvantages? I heard that people with an outside shot at Stanford should apply RD rather than EA cause like EA has better applicants... Thanks for help.

I believe it's Single Choice Early Action
