SCEA Common App Question

According to the common app, if you apply online you can't alter your application again. I'm applying to stanford scea and would like to alter my app for RD schools. Is there any way i can do this? Is it possible to paper app for Stanford?

i'd like to know this too!

My daughter has submitted her Stanford app (and most of her other apps, for that matter), and the answer to both your questions from our use of the commonapp site is no.

Stanford absolutely will not accept paper (they are very clear about that when you visit, and I am pretty sure they emphasize it on their website) and once you submit the common app to the first school, the site locks it and you can't change the app.

The only way to submit something else might be to open an entirely new application under a new screen name on the commonapp site and redo the whole thing, but I honestly don't know if there are any ramifications to doing that. When you submit the first app, they come up with a screen asking you to promise that you won't do that, and for some reason they also ask you to promise you wont' submit on paper, though why either of those is any of their business is beyond me - I think that's way over the line for the common app org to intrude in that way, given the schools require no such promises from you.
