SCEA Interview

Has anyone else not yet gotten a call for an interview?

I am not sure whether this is a good or a bad sign. I reckon it doesn't really matter - their interviewers are limited and I don't think having or not having an interview plays a role in the admissions process.

However, I don't know... I'm thinking about calling them and asking them for an interview.

Does anyone know if those interviews do play a big role in whether one is admitted? Do they only interview people who are likelies? How does it work?

My logic is this: if they can't offer then to everyone then it cannot play a big role.

Not receiving an interview invitation is not indicative of the quality of your application in any way. I haven’t received one yet, and I’m not too worried about that.

There is no need for you to contact them; if an interview is available, you will be notified via email or phone.

Having an outstandingly strong interview can serve to boost your chances, whereas displaying some undesirable personality trait during an interview could significantly damage your chances. In the vast majority of cases, however, one’s interview does not affect his or her admissions decision.

Yale explicitly says not to contact them for interviews.

I haven’t yet been contacted for an interview either. But then again, I’m international, so alumni may not be available in my area. I don’t think you have to worry. :)
