SCEAers--breathe a sigh of relief. it's over!

i'm not sure about you, but I'm hugely relieved. no more essay revisions, no more pestering teachers about recs, no more worrying about extracurricular lists and presentations...no more frantic last-minute app questions :-)

just wanted to wish you guys luck

haha, i dont actually feel that relieved. maybe it is because uc apps are due in less than a month, and the countdown begins before i get rejected from stanford...

no way man...i gotta start working on my real applications to universities that i actually have a chance of gaining acceptance!

stanford's app was fun, b/c i already knew i had no chance, so i was like what the hell i'm just gonna send it..but these are SERIOUS!

I agree, Paulhomework! I've done my reach (Stanford) and my safety (Univ. Florida) and now it's time for the match schools. Sigh. But I've started, and I realized it's so much easier to do a third and fourth app. After you finish the first or second, it's all the same stuff. Not too bad. Where else are you applying?

I don't even know how to feel about my Stanford app. It's out of my hands, and that's really hard for a control freak like me to deal with. There's nothing left to do for it; it's over!

By the way, how does one become a "junior member" on CC?

i don't know how u become junior member, and i guess it's related to the number of posts.

I'm planning on pursuing an engineering degree, and these are the "other" schools i'm applying too:

Reaches:
MIT
Northwestern
UC Berkeley (out of state)

Match/Safety:
Georgia Tech (out of state)
UT Dallas
UT Austin

but if by a miracle i get accepted to stanford (ubber-unlikey), I will definitely attend

Yeah--it's hard for me to have it out of my hands. There's no way I can change or improve it now, and that's hard for me to take...but oh well. Such is life. And at least we had the election to occupy our minds with right afterwards, eh?

Yeah, what a way to start off a streak of dissapointments this year.

samwise- i hear ya. hopefully our admissions to stanford wont go the way the elections did.

It's been a week now since I submitted the last part of the application. I wish everyone the best of luck. Now onto my other 8-9 apps!

irock, cheers to that
At least our own two states were on the right side ;)
