I'm a current sophomore, and I'd love some advice for my classes next semester.
I have to take AP European History and Literature, so I have 2 electives left...

My choices:
- AP Stats.
Math is not my strong point, but I can maintain my A+'s in Math classes (currently have a 97 in Accel. Math). I'm not sure how hard Stats is, but I've heard it's hard to maintain a high A. Being an AP class, it does award a ten-point grade bonus.
- French III
On the other hand, I love French, and could easily get a 100 in there. French III and above awards a 5 point grade bonus.
- AP Art History
I've heard from upperclassmen that the class is easy but a complete waste of a semester, though someone also said it would help a lot with AP Euro if I'm taking the two concurrently. People who did their work got a 99 in the class, and, like all AP classes at my school, it awards a ten point grade bonus.

Extra info!
- Most sophomores at my school are only taking 2 AP's (Euro and Stats) for the school year (as far as I know). Technically, I could take 3 AP's (Euro, Stats, and Art History).
- I want the extra grade inflation because I have a shot at Valedictorian. :D

This is like a multiple-choice test question, haha. So, should I take...?
A. AP Statistics & French III
B. AP Statistics & AP Art History
C. AP Art History & French III

Any opinions would be appreciated, especially if you've already taken the class.

Take statistics! Most eye-opening class I’ve ever taken.

I’ve heard that AP Art History is very hard, maybe not at some schools, but the test is supposed to be hard…? I’ve never taken it. What do people at your school usually get on the test?

I would take stats and French…but that’s because I really liked those classes.

Definitely stick with French; colleges like to see a commitment to foreign language. It seems like Stats would be better for you from what you’ve said. Besides possibly taking Stats, are you not going to be enrolled in any math or science classes? In that case I’d definitely go with Stats over Art History since it’s a core subject.

As for which I like best, History or Math… Neither. But if you asked if I liked ART or Math, there would be no question: Art wins. I feel like I could get a higher grade in AP Art History. But if Stats is better…

Well, I’m down to two choices now.

Which is better:
A.) taking an easy, slightly boring class in a non-core subject that’s not useful (but kind of interests you) and getting a very high grade without much work, or
B.) taking a more difficult, very useful class in a core subject (that doesn’t really interest you but does challenge you) and getting a semi-high grade after a lot of effort?

@smwhtslightly… I can’t spell your username lol

I’m already taking Accel. Math II and Adv. Chemistry this semester. I have to to meet my school’s core class requirements; AP’s are all electives.
