schedule advice

So far, here are my class choices for my first semester at Cal:

Asian American Studies 20A (Intro to the History of Asians in the U.S. w/ Omi)
Chem 1A (General Chem w/ Stacy)
Stats 2 (Intro to Stats w/ D'Abrera)
Poli Sci 2 (Intro to Comparative Politics w/ Price)

In all, these classes make up 16 units. Will this be too much? If anyone has taken any of these classes (especially with these teachers), any insight into the workload and interest of these classes would be awesome.

Also, out of curiosity, has anyone taken "The Politics of Music" w/ Prof. Zook? It sounds kind of interesting and I was considering taking it at some point later on. How is the class?

Poli Sci 2 with PRICE is pretty chill, I still have all the books, if he still uses the same ones, msg me and I can give you a good deal on them if he does use the same books.

I took Chem1a in the spring of 2007 and it was a lot of work! You're having a different professor this semester though so I don't know how he/she structures the class. Nonetheless, Chem1a is a tough class...they don't call it the "weed-out" class for nothing...well that's just me since I had no Chem experience in High School. If you've taken AP chem, then this should be alright. I can't help you with the other classes since I haven't taken them at Cal. =)
