schedule change in senior year

hey i forgot to report to cal that i moved from BC to AB calculus second semester because i was struggling with the material. i called and the admissions counselor kind of implied it wouldn't hurt me too much because calculus is not a required a-g requirement. however, she did say i had to write a letter to the admissions office. any thoughts on my chances of getting rescinded? also, any opinion on how i should phrase my problem to minimize fallout?

anyone? comments are appreciated... the LA reporting process was online and a lot less complicated...

when u change ur schedule it is your problem if u dont call the admissions office. people get rescinded for dropping calculus, hopefully going from bc to ab wasnt that big of a jump as dropping the whole class.

It is advised that any schedule changes be reported to the admissions office (via a phone call).

i dropped ap english literature after first semester but i e-mailed all the colleges i applied to, telling them of this change far before decisions were made. dropping down a level shouldn't be a problem, as long as they know about it. i'd give them a call or e-mail the admissions office. they know more than we do anyways.

"anyone? comments are appreciated... the LA reporting process was online and a lot less complicated..."

Oh yeah, I agree. LA at least had a specialized e-mail address where you could ask/send information. I had to call Cal around their working schedule to finally ask a single question.

hey, I too made a mistake on my senior-year course. But in my case, I reported a course that I never took, it was purely by mistake. (Multivariable Calculus). I sent a fax to every college i applied to back in January, and I sent a letter just in case to Berkeley last week. I did that UCLA thing that you guys are talking about and they said it was no problem. I wound't worry too much if i were u... but then again I didnt really drop any class.... It was just a human error.
