Schedule Changes for the UCs

I have changed a class that I am taking to something else,

How can I report this to the UCs?
Will it affect my chances?

-A very panicked Jade.

(UCLA, UCB, UCSB, UCSD, UCD)

Please help! I DONT WANT TO BE RESCINEDED CUZ MY COMMUNITY COLLEGE GOT FULL!!!

You need to write a short letter to each campus, and explain what happened. If your class change is from one academic subject to another, they prolly won't mind. But, if you changed from a planned Calculus class and picked up basket-weaving instead.....

it depends what the change is. if its a sport, or teachers aid or anything that is not a core academic you dont have to do anything. However, if your dropping an AP or dropping a academic class all together you have to write to the UC's explaining what happened. Unfortunately, this could affect your admissions to UCB and UCLA which are practicing holistic admissions and are really looking for anything to seperate all those borderline kids they now have since they are looking into different parts of the app besdies SAT and GPA

Don't worry... You'll be mostly fine.

P.S. Basket weaving is harder than Calculus... I'm serious :)

So where do I send this stuff or where do I call or w/e!?

you go to your counselor who sends in a form showing your drop class and you can requset he/her write you a letter explaining why you dropped.

I talked to my councillor and she said I have to do it individualy!

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!

^^ They just told you everything you needed to know.

Write YOUR OWN letter to each college explaining the situation.

if i switched my classes due to a schedule conflict.. will that hurt my chances?

Nope. Just explain it in the signed letter that you send. Otherwise, you could always ask your college counselor to add a little note to your letter to substantiate your claim.

Just curious. If you drop a class due to conflicts with the professor, would colleges be understanding of the situation? Obviously I don't know what problem, because this is just a hypothetical question..
