Schedule: Chem 151, elementary Hindi, writing 20

Hi, I was wondering if you guys could help me with my schedule.

I took AP Chem and AP BC Calc and got 5's on both. So most people are suggest I take Chem 151, but I don't know how much gen chem I remember and isn't it important to know chemistry well for the MCAT?

So right now, I've got Chem 151, Elementary Hindi, and Writing 20.

Does anyone have suggestion for an easy elective I can take along with these?

Gen chem is not that important for orgo. I've had friends who did well in orgo but couldn't answer questions from chem 21/22. Just knowing the basic concepts is enough. If you decide you must review, take 22 and not 23.

Easy classes: um, BAA 93D or Psych 11?

Culanth 49 is also usually pretty easy, the topics do change so check those out. And then there are EOS 11: dynamic earth, which is pretty easy.

Gen chem and Orgo are almost unrelated in my book. You will not find any formula from gen chem in 151.

Easy classes (I've not taken any of these... they are personal hearsay and personal expectation): EOS 11: Dynamic Earth (Rocks for Jocks), the biology course on dinosaurs, many lower BAA classes, any psych classes...

Do you think it's advisable to take Chem 22L instead of Chem 151 if I took AP Chem during my Junior year and got a 5. I don't know how much i remember...

I think you will be fine to take Chem 151.

Practically no gen chem in Orgo anyway. The only bits I recall is energy diagrams, reaction coordinates, and orbitals/bonding. That's only a tiny part of orgo in any case.

but would general chem be advisable to take simply to review for the MCATs, not in relation to orgo?

No, most people take the MCATs their junior year. By then it'll have been another 1-2 years since you've taken gen chem. It'll be the same as you are now if you took AP chem your soph or jr year of high school. If you've forgotten some stuff now, then you'll probably be in the same situation when MCAT rolls around and would need to review it anyway.
