Due to certain classes only being offered during specific periods of the day, I must decide between taking French 4 honors and Yearbook. I have taken french since my freshman year and I've only taken one year of yearbook thus far--I'm a rising senior. However, I love both classes. If I choose to stay in yearbook I will be made co-editor. If I stay in french 4, I stay in a class that I have been looking forward to taking and I have the consistency of four years of a foreign language. What do you think is the better option? It's a shame I can't take both, but nothing in my schedule can be moved.

I would stick with French.

Choose French. Yearbook is generally looked upon as an easy elective course that’s really more of an EC - French 4 is not only more rigorous but it may actually get you out of taking French in college, or help you place into the last semester of it. Is there a way for you to get involved in yearbook without taking the class?

If I want to be a part of yearbook–at all–I am required to take the class, and only at the time it is offered. My entire schedule would be flipped upside down if I were to take Yearbook over French. I love both of my classes! It is a difficult decision to make.

French. Your core subjects should be your first scheduling priority.
