Schedule decision-making

SO I'm gonna be a senior and I've basically finished choosing my schedule for next year which is thus follows:
AP Bio
AP Gov
AP Cacl
AP Literature
Band
Gym
AP Stats

That being said, my Spanish teacher this year really really wants me to continue from Spanish IV honors to AP, I'd have the same teacher next year. I'm doing well (95%) in Span IV honors but that's because I work really really really hard. Language stuff isn't exactly my forte. But with her insistence I've begun to consider it. I want to be a major in biochem but Spanish could be just as helpful as stats. To be honest though my school isn't exactly known for awesome Language dept and only some of AP students get 4s and a couple 5s. And I'm just better at math anyway. I do not have a good cummulative GPA (3.6 but had straight As this year so that'll pull it up a bit) and want to have straight As like all next year (esp. first semester in case I get deferred)

Which do you think would be better to take? Which would "look" better for colleges (I'm not really using that to base my decision though)? Please help me! Advice is much appreciated

If it helps I really really really want to attend UNC OOS.

someone wanna help?

It seems as if your Spanish teacher is pressuring you. You pretty much have all the pros and cons listed out. You’re going into biochem and your language department isn’t that great. So don’t take Spanish. Stats would be more useful for biochem (graphs etc). Plus it’s easy to learn. Colleges don’t really consider what “looks” better, rather they want to see if you’ve taken the highest level.

You can take Stats anytime in college. You probably won’t have time to take Spanish in college, and I strongly feel that an AP Language looks more impressive as it shows admission officers that you have completed years of study for the language.

I would go with AP Spanish, because if you really want to do stats, you can easily self-study it, while for Spanish, in-class interactions would be best. Also, colleges will like it better.
