Schedule Difficulty

Hi I am a junior in high school and have just confirmed my schedule and the courses I am taking this year. Can anyone share their opinion on my schedule and its difficulty? All opinions gladly welcomed.

AP English Language
Gym
Public Speaking
AP US History
AP Physics
Sociology
Pre-calculus
Religion

Your schedule looks pretty balanced to me! Are foreign languages offered at your school? If so, I would take up to at least level 3 or 4 of a language, as quite a few colleges look for foreign languages.

Also, what subject/area interests you the most (humanities, stem, etc.)? If you are interested in STEM, I would suggest taking an AP Math class (maybe AP Stats). And most importantly, make sure that you will be challenged but not overwhelmed by your schedule!

btw- I’m a senior in high school, so my opinion might not be the most helpful. I would suggest seeing what others on CC say!

Which AP Physics are you taking? Some would require AP Calc. Other than that, having 3 AP in junior year is reasonable. Have you taken any AP before? Other than the 3 AP, the rest are pretty easy classes. I agree that you should check if you have enough foreign language levels under belt. Otherwise, you are restricting yourself from a bunch of good to great schools.

As long as you’ve reached level 3 or 4 in a foreign language, that schedule is fine. If not, switch public speaking or sociology for it.
