I was fortunate enough to be accepted to HYPS, but unfortunately the Princeton visiting days seem to be sandwiched right in between Harvard's and Yale's. Are there any unique, "unmissable" events during Princeton's admit days, or would it make more logical sense for me to visit the week after the "official" visitation days?

What are the dates this year?

Yale: 13-15
Princeton: 14-16 (I can’t go to the 7-9 one)
Harvard: 16-18

Nothing happens on Saturday the 16th. The only big thing you would miss by leaving Friday afternoon would be the activities fair, which is important but not crucial for your visit. I left Preview around noon on Friday last year, and it didn’t even take me that long to make up my mind that I wanted to go to Princeton.

Hi, folks,

While we’re at it… FightTheTide, can you advise us on best way to get from Philly airport to Princeton, by non-car transport, for this event? S, admitted (yay!) would like to come out for Princeton Admit days…he will be flying from Pacific northwest. We don’t know how to get around out there or most expeditious way to make bee-line from airport to Princeton campus.
Advice appreciated…Thanks!

(Have fun, everyone!)

From Philly airport, take the SEPTA Airport line to 30th street, then the Trenton line to Trenton, then take NJ Transit (NE Corridor line) to Princeton Junction, where you’ll take the Dinky to Princeton.
I believe that from the airport the train stops right outside certain terminals’ baggage claim areas, and you buy your ticket onboard. At 30th St. you can use a NJ transit kiosk to get tickets all the way to Princeton. On a good day it takes two hours, but if the schedules don’t line up it can take up to three.
Schedules are here:

Okay, I decided on just going from 7-9 since I REALLY want to meet the other admits! (Unfortunately, all these college visits means that I’m only going to be attending class @ high school for around 6 days, lol. LOTS OF MAKEUP WORK AHEAD.)

Thanks for the info!

I was able to find a rough schedule on the website for the student hosts:
