So I took yesterday te SAT for the first time and I didn't do as well as I wanted ( I think I'll have something around 1800) so I'm taking it again in January so I have the time to to really prepare it...
For this test I didn't study any word so this time I will study vocabulary, do you think Direct Hits is the best ? Volume 1 and 2...
For mathematics I had Barron's book but maybe I will buy Gruber's one too...
For Writing I just have to practice because I think it's okay I have the writing Barron's one and I will read the Silverturtle's guide...
For the passages( CR), I'm gonna read the guide about the members' stories and guides but I need a book too. I already read Grammatix but I can't find the other book RocketReview (something like that).
What do you recommend me ?
I'm an international student but I came in US for my last year...
I really wanna have a score above 700 each section... Do you think I have the time to study ? I will also have the holidays so during the holidays I will study all day long like I did during the weekend (7 hours).
I want to apply to a good college here so if you have any tips, post it please...
I have the BlueBook but I did all the practice tests so I'm purchasing the other one.

Read the Best SAT Prep Forum and FAQ thread at the top of the page under Silverturtle’s guide too. It will give you some links to other SAT practice materials. You can also buy PSAT’s for $3 at the College Board Store. Even though they are PSATs they are very similar to the SAT and will be very helpful to you.

The Direct Hits books were very helpful to me and there are lots of other posts from CCers saying the same thing. The Rocket Review book is out of print and very hard to find. I think practicing the math problems from SATs and PSATs will be the biggest help to you. I would focus on those 2 sections first and then work on the writing section. Silverturtle’s Guide is very helpful for that.
