Schedule help needed!

I’m having trouble picking between taking sociology or taking a study hall. This year was my first year with a study hall and it was actually pretty helpful but I think I might be getting dependent on it.

Note: I plan on applying to top schools(such as ivies) as well as distinguished but not Ivy universities and majoring in areas of stem(engineering(chem/electrical/biomed)/health (minor in business/comp. sci.)

This year I took:(junior year)
-0 period: research & design(college level research class(i.e science fairs, papers,etc.)
-Biomedical Science(pltw)
-ap calc ab(highest math offered)
-spanish 4 honors
-ap Lang
-ap world
-dance 2(instead of gym)
-physics honors (no ap science other than ap bio offered at my school)
-study hall

My courses for senior year will be:
-ap lit
-ap spanish
-human body systems (2nd part of pltw)
-ap bio
-Cisco networking academy: it essentials
-photography(I need a fine art to graduate and I’ve been putting it off since freshmen year)
-dance 2(there is no dance 3 or beyond)
-study hall or sociology**
(Note might take 0 period Research again and will be taking one semester college Calc 3 class(taking Calc 2 over the summer most likely ) but the 0 period and the night class wouldn’t conflict with my school schedule)

Didn’t put all my courses in high school because I’m not trying to get chanced I’m just seeking a couple of opinions.

Thanks in advance!

I’d say unless AP Bio and AP Lit are insanely tough at your school, or your night class will take up all of your homework time, don’t take a study hall. Especially if the Sociology class really interests you. Good luck!

AP Lang in the beginning was the struggle but I think AP Lit might be smoother of a transition but still intense(my teacher is extremely accomplished and its a concurrent college class so it’s really tough), my research teacher teaches AP Bio but I know it’s tough as well that’s what makes the decision so hard. I’m leaning towards sociology though. Thanks for the help! @Shelby248‌ and best of luck to you as well.

Anyone else with helpful advice?

Do you know an estimate of how much work is required for Sociology? If it isn’t too much, I would take that because it sounds interesting. But since you’re taking AP Lit and AP Bio, a study hall might be good if sociology is a lot of work.

A study hall could be helpful if there is a boatload of homework for your AP classes, but if there isn’t then I say go for Sociology.
