Schedule help please!

I'm kind of freaking out.
The only classes on my schedule that I actually want are Expos and General Chem.
I intend to be a Cell Bio & Neuroscience major, but all the classes I need are either filled or conflict with my schedule. Physics is filled. Calculus II/Basic Stat for Research conflict with Chemistry. Intro to Neurobiology isn't for first year students.
I have no idea what to do.

Are you a freshman?

Remember that add/drop starts tomorrow and lasts for 2 weeks. A lot of your classes may open up, so have a list of classes ready. You may not always get your first choice so have alternates available.

My son has been looking for different sections of some of his business courses. Various sections have become available on an ongoing basis, throughout this summer, so it’s not like things close up and never re-open again.

You just have to wait for add/drop and then go on Webreg throughout the day until you get the best schedule you can. You will not always get your first choices. My son took several second choice electives because his first choices just never seemed to work out timewise.

Just stay calm and have your choices ready. Keep looking. Use degree navigator so you know what you need to take to complete your degree.

That makes me feel a little better.

I have another question.
Physics 203 is full and its waiting list for special permission numbers is also closed.
If people drop Physics 203, do the spots then go to the people on the waiting list or can people like me add it?

My guess is no, because if it comes up as available (green) on Webreg, you should be able to add it. If it goes to the spn’s on the waitlist, it should never come up as available on Webreg.

Do you want to take physics, chem, and expos at the same time? What else is on your schedule? Any electives?

ps I don’t understand a ‘waiting list’ for spn’s. I thought that there were a set amount of spns available, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. (wow, 20 sections, all filled)

btw Sometimes upperclassmen hold sections for their friends and then they don’t need them. Keep watching Webreg. Things become available but you have to keep checking.
