So, first let me explain a little about my school. My school’s weighted GPA is based on a 6.0 scale, where AP AND PAP classes are out of a 6.0, and on-level classes are 5.0. So, I’m gonna be a sophomore next year and this is what I’m thinking of taking.
Core:
PAP Chemistry
PAP Pre-Cal
Humanities/AP World
PAP English 2
Electives:
AP Comp Sci (for sure)
Intro to Engineering (for sure)
AP Psychology/Sociology (AP psych and sociology are 1 semester each, sociology is OL)
?? (possibly an OL course just cuz there aren’t any other PAP classes and I don’t know about some of the other AP classes)
I CBE’d or got skipped Span 1 and 2 so I got the credits for those. I could take pap span 3 this year but i’m not sure if i’ll be able to as i technically haven’t taken any spanish class.
If you know Spanish at or above the level of the Spanish 2 course, you should be able to take Spanish 3.
Agreed, you should have Spanish 3.
Take Spanish 3. Most colleges will want to see that class (it’s a core class) and the most selective colleges will expect Spanish 4 too considering you’ll be a sophomore at that point. (Foreign language is a core class). You could also take the Spanish Subject test in the Spring and take an entirely different foreign language starting next year, and taking 3 years of it. In that case, French, Italian, and Portuguese would be closest to Spanish.
