Here's my first semester honors freshman schedule pleeease give me feedback (especially including whether physics is really hard):

ENGL202 (literature of the western world: renaissance to modern), just says staff for the time being

HONR100 with Barks

PHYS102 (Physics of Music) with Peel

PHYS 103 (Physics of Music Lab) with Nandikotkur

PHIL140 (Contemporary Moral Issues) with King

You can check ourumd.com to see grade distributions for classes.

Dr. Barks isn't your real HONR100 teacher--the class is run by undergraduate section leaders.

That looks like a pretty good freshman schedule--I'm told ENGL201 and 202 are pretty interesting.

102/103 is a good lab science choice. I took those my first semester and had the shortest labs of any of my friends. (Some labs are very long or meet twice a week, etc.) As far as difficulty-- make sure you understand the basic concepts because everything else is built around that. I had trouble there. Don't feel stupid about asking the professor questions after class or asking someone sitting near you to explain a concept. The lab is fairly easy; just do the work and try to find a lab partner that seems like he/she will be willing to work also.

I had a different professor so I don't know about yours, but my prof was so boring that literally NOBODY went to the lecture. I went probably 3/4 of the time and on any given day there were only about 5-10 students there out of 100. I did no studying (because like I said before, I didn't understand the concepts). I also didn't understand that I HAD to study because college is not high school. Despite all this, I got a C+ in the class and an A in the lab.
