Schedule Help

I am a sophomore and I need to decide about my schedule for next year. I know that junior year is the make-or-break schedule but I'm a little lost.

My current Schedule is:

AP NSL
Hon English
AP Programming 2 (called AB programming by college board)
Hon Bio
Hon Jazz Ensemble
Hon Physics
Hon Precalc

With this schedule I managed to get Straight A's this qarter, and 2 B's last quarter (NSL and Programming). My main interest is political science and economics, so accordingly my planned schedule for next year is:

AP World
AP Lang
AP Physics
AP Stat
AP Econ
AP Calc BC
AP Comp. gov and politics

Overcompensating? Kind of. But the colleges I want to apply to ask you to apply in September of senior year and take the test (different for each college) during October. That's why I want to take all of these gov/econ classes in Junior year so I can sort of prove my desire and skill in those respective studies. As far as AP physics, yes it's the hardest science but physics is the one science I enjoy and get above 94% in. I'm not too bad at math, no B's so far, and the same goes for my English record. Again, aside from AP world (which my high school makes you take) all of these classes are classes that I feel strongly about taking. That's the most important thing right?

Yes, I completely agree. But, consider this: If you are stuck with 3-4 hours of homework every night (not to mention if you do clubs and/or sports), schoolwork will take up almost your entire life, and it may jeopardize your interest for these subjects. Just make sure you are prepared for the rigorous schedule and are extremely hardworking. If you truly believe you can handle it, then by all means go for it!

What do you mean by ‘jeapordize your interests’?

i dont think you are allowed to take ap calc bc until after you take ap calc ab.

just fyi.

if you go straight into bc you are screwed!!!

You are allowed to take Calculus BC after AB. It’s however generally recommended to take BC concurrently with AB (in most cases, this is just taking the BC course alone) as the BC test is really nothing more than a supplement of AB (you will still take the AB test, followed by a BC section).

Actually in our school, you either take AB or BC straight after precalc. You don’t take BC after AB (since Semester 1 AB is just BC).
