I am going to be a freshman this fall and I am planning to transfer out of my school after a year. I heard that course rigor is really important and is like the key to college admissions. I want to complete all the GERs in my freshman and sophomore year...so if I take a bunch of GER classes in my freshman year, would that hurt my chances of getting admitted to some top schools as a transfer?
Then how should I schedule my classes in order to succeed in transferring?
I really need some advice.. Thank you!

bump bump bump anyone?:(:(

Where to you plan to transfer?

Do you plan to come in as a Sophomore or a Junior?

What’s your major?

I plan to apply to several top schools but Cornell is my top choice amongst all.

I plan to come in as a sophomore. Just in case if it helps, my high school GPA for 4 years was 3.7 unweighted with no APs(school didn’t offer) and my sat score was about 2000 highest combined with no SAT2s taken.

I am not certain of my major yet so I am planning to take a freshman seminar + three GER courses and an elective. Would this schedule hurt my chances for cornell?
