Since pre-enroll is coming up pretty soon, I was hoping to see what you guys think of my preliminary schedule :) It just doesn't include Psych 1103, which would put me at 17 credits (schedulizer wouldn't add it because the times are TBA).

I'm undecided in A&S, although I'm seriously considering psychology and possibly English. I know some of these courses are very popular and may be difficult to get into (namely Psych 1101 and maybe even Chin 1101), but there seem to be a ton of open seats according to the Student Center so I'm crossing my fingers! Some of my back-ups are CS 1101, Anthr 1400, Astro 2201, and BIOG 1109.

My one worry is that 3 lectures in a row, 3 days a week might get a little tiresome, but I like that I'm done with my day by 3:00 or 4:00, with a nice block of time for lunch/studying/socializing in the afternoon.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated :D

lol. I’m not really a morning person, but all of the classes I want to take have early lectures. I figured 8:40/9:05 isn’t terrible…better than 8am!

Of course you should stick with those classes, but im just saying that I was in your situation where I had some “early” classes (they were 9am, not even 8am ones) thinking that i’d be fine bc HS started at 8am, but boy was I wrong.

Maybe you happen to be extremely disciplined/can get away with only 4 hours of sleep a day, but I found that on average I went to bed 2-3 hours later than I did in HS.

But in reality you are right, 8:40 am isn’t terrible, its just not ideal ;P

you are like me, i prefer morning classes even though im not a morning person just because i want to get it over with and go back to dorm and do w/e i want.

I know a lot of people who had 8AM classes every morning. I think most high school students would kill to have classes start that late. But 8AM really is a huge pain in college, for some reason. I can barely get up for my 10AM classes, even though I go to bed around midnight!

3 lectures in a row will be fine; it’s actually pretty typical. You may want to make sure you grab a quick bite in the morning, though, to last you until lunch time. I don’t know your preferences, but I think that for most people this would be a good schedule.

thanks for all your input guys!! much appreciated. the early classes will probably be a pain but im up for the challenge and hopefully 17 credits wont be too much of an overload but they’re all intro and the registrar listed pretty good median grades, so it should be okay.
