So this is my second semester of college and I got to make my own schedule which was good. However there are a few conflicts with it. One of them being is that I’m taking an additional class for my major but its a three hour lab which conflicts with my history class. My history class starts at 6:30pm and ends 7:45pm. my major class starts at 5:00pm and ends at 8:50pm. The three hour lab is once a week but my history class is twice a week which means I can miss history class for one out of the two days of the week but I don’t want to do that.
Does anybody know where I can usually go to report scheduling issues? Im thinking of talking with my professor tonight but Im not sure if he will do much for me. Any ideas where I can go to report scheduling issues? Thanks
interesting - at my daughter’s school you would not have even been allowed to register for two classes that meet at the same time. I would also suggest she speaks to her advisor.
Go speak to your adviser tomorrow. You need to drop or move one of those classes. If you don’t do it before the drop period ends you’ll still be charged for it.
You can’t actually skip one class to take another, so don’t book classes that overlap. What are the other “conflicts” you have with your schedule? If you drop a course will you have enough credits to qualify for aid?
I have made satisfactory progress last semester and im in good academic standing. Im currently taking 16 credits this semester. I might have forgot to mention that this class was booked at the last minute it wasn’t during while the college was making their schedules. The instructor just walked up to me handed me a peice of paper I had to fill out and said hopefully this doesn’t conflict with my schedule.
Yes your right I just talked to my other professor he said it will be extremley difficult to maintain good progress in that class. Im considering dropping one of them but Im not sure how that will effect my aid either.
