Schedule next year

I’m finalizing my class schedule for my junior year next year. I’m posting it here to see if anyone has any recommendations, questions, or concerns. I’ll also post my schedules for previous years to put things in perspective. I haven’t decided my major yet, but I’m looking mostly into computer science as of right now. I will likely be applying to University of Illinois primarily, but I will apply elsewhere too, of course. I don’t necessarily want a 4.0 unweighted GPA, but I wouldn’t like to go under a 3.75. I am in Ec’s, but not an excessive amount.

My schedule for 9th grade
Spanish 1
Health/P.E. (required)
Civics (required)
Band
Algebra 1
Honors biology
Honors English

10th grade
Algebra 2
Honors Geometry
Spanish 2
Band
AP Psychology
AP Biology
Honors English

I earned an A and will earn an A in all courses listed except for AP Bio which I earned a B- in last semester, and will likely earn a B this semester as well :frowning: I’m also taking a java coding class over the summer. I’m not sure how my AP scores will turn out, but I’m reasonably sure I’ll get at least a 3 on Psych. I can’t guarantee anything for Bio (tough class for me).

11th grade
AP Language & comp
Honors pre-calc
Honors chemistry
AP U.S. History
Band
Spanish 3
AP Computer Science Principles

AP Calc A over the summer

12th grade
AP Physics 1
AP Calc B and C
AP Literature & comp
Spanish 4
Band
AP microeconomics for 1 semester. Then maybe Macro? I’m not sure yet.
AP Computer science A

An interesting side note is that all of the AP classes I have taken and will take are online classes with the exceptions of U.S. History and Lit & comp. I go to a very small school.

Looks good to me!

Excellent schedule.

No world history?

Not a HS graduation requirement, and unless applying for a UC/CSU, not a college admissions requirement. OP has a social studies class every year, so it looks fine to me.

@allyphoe I wish! I love world history, but I can’t really fit in in my schedule, especially if I’m gonna be a CS major. As skieurope says, it doesn’t seem like that would be an issue in terms of college admission, and my high school requires only three years of social studies.

^ note that while HS may only require 3 years of social science/history, many colleges recommend 4. However in some states freshmen take no social science class (0_o from people in other states) and 9th grade students aren’t expected to figure out that other states do things differently. However if the class was offered but turned down then it becomes more of a concern.
