At the end of the school year last year, I was told that French III could not fit into my schedule because it is only offered during my AP English class and during my AP Physics B class. I said that I would schedule both Physics and French III during the same period but only go to French and instead teach myself Physics while completing all classwork/tests during 1st during which I have a study hall.

This became a major issue with administration and the principle but they said that if I could handle it then they could make it work. Good everything was fine.

Then, I come into school and find out that now French III is only offered during my English class therefore no French. I could jump to French IV but that is during Calc BC. So now I have no French. My question is how badly will this affect college admissions with only two years of French?

Well, I would take AP Phys. and English, and self-study French 3 and 4. I did a similar thing and found it fairly easy. It might show initiative, so 2 yrs wouldn't then be a detriment.

Consider taking French as an independent study perhaps? I don't know if your school has such a thing, but with a lot of juniors in my school who are in the same exact situation as yours, they meet with the French teacher on their own and study French during their free periods/lunch times. They get credit for it just like any class, and it shows on their transcript. It's just not an "official" class, rather it's "independent study".

I wanted to do that but my French teacher said she can't do it 1st period due to a French I class and I need to be in a class to practice speaking. That is why I wanted to do an independent study of Physics but now I can't. I might be able to take it online but that is doubtful.

i cant take physics..

take another language...thats what i am doing

and note on the transcript why u couldnt take french
