Schedule to tough?

Like many others my son got the email that he was taking too much honors hours his first semester so i wanted to post his schedule and get advice if he is taking on too much for his first semester. He is a history/secondary ed major. Thanks in advance for any advice.

ENG 103 ADVANCED ENG. COMP
HY 205 HONORS AMERICAN CIV.
MAT 112 PRE CALC AND ALG 2 WITH LAB
PY101 INTRO TO PSYCH
UH101 HONORS FORUM
UH120 SEMINAR LIBERTARIAN PHILOSOPHY

That’s a total of 16 credit hours.

doesn’t seem too tough.

agree with mom.

I think “too many honors hours” is an individual thing. My DD is taking 3 honors classes and she is confident that her schedule is fine. She does have a class that she is “waiting to see” after the first week if she is keeping it or not, after finding out the work load of all of her classes.

Your son’s schedule seems fine to me!

I would agree with everyone else. I think that is a well-rounded schedule and probably just challenging enough to keep him appropriately busy. It is always a delicate balance, and individual traits play a huge role.

thanks to all for replying. I’m feeling much better about it.
