Schedule for Fall 2011

Sorry for the long link lol but thats my schedule. I couldnt find my FWS on schedulizer but it will be on Tu/Thrs 11:40-12:55 pm (in the long gap between my classes)
and the reason for the two night classes is because, I could take one of them in the morning (8:15) but I heard that morning classes really really suck so I decided to make them both night time? And one of the night time is astronomy discussion and the other is a chemistry academic support type class.
Btw, is it helpful to take the academic support classes? I'm taking the one for my bio and chem, cause I heard they are both extremely hard. Is my schedule like really dumb? The only thing that upsets me is the night time classes. And my day typically ends at 4 but is that too late? Thanks for all the help :)

Oh and can I get from Baker Lab to Mallot Hall in 15 min? Thanks :)

I think your schedule will be fine … you’ll be in class alot, but its manageable. I don’t think you’ll need the academic support classes though, since there are so many tutors available to help. So I would drop the help classes and the calc 1 credit class … that seems kind of worthless in your schedule as well.

And yep, you can make it from Baker to Mallot in under 10 for sure :)

will the calc 1 credit class just not really help? and just prove to be extra work? Cause I planned to take Calc 1 in the spring. And the academic support classes aren’t really worth it? I want to take at least one so I can have 15 credits lol, so would chem or the bio one be more worth it?

Also, I was reading online on the chem website and it says for the first meeting of classes you have to be at the lab 15 min before the class starts or else they will give your spot away to someone on the waiting list…I have 15 min between my astro lecture and chem lab… so will I lose my spot on the first day!? I’m so confused lol.

Dont worry about the lab thing. Just show up in your lab room that day. If you don’t show up that day, then your spot is gone. And 15 minutes is definitely enough time to get from Uris to Baker.

I’m pretty sure you would lose your spot if you aren’t there within 15 minutes of the start of class…but AFTER the start, not before.

the way to get from Baker to Malott is to go out the back door of Baker. (maybe worth scoping out before the first day.)

The Calc class may help, I’m just saying I’ve never heard of anyone I know taking it. And I second Faustarp’s comment about going out the back door of Baker to get to Mallott, much faster!
