Schedule

I made my schedule for sophomore year. Will this be too hard? If I stay on track what colleges would I have a chance of getting into?

9TH GRADE
ENGLISH 9
GLOBAL HISTORY 9
GEOMETRY HONORS
BIOLOGY HONORS
FRENCH 2R
DESIGN AND DRAWING FOR PROD. PLTW *
9/10 BOYS

NEXT YEAR What I Picked
ENGLISH 10 HONORS
AP WORLD HISTORY
ALGEBRA 2/TRIG HONORS
AP CHEMISTRY
LATIN 3R
DIGITAL ELECTRONICS PLTW
BIOTECH ENGINEERING PLTW
PE 9/10 BOYS

I'm worried about AP World ( I didn't take honors global this year) and AP Chem, my teacher said I could do I but I've never had chem before.

Hmmm it seems manageable but the AP chemo test is difficult from what I hear. You should be fine in AP world, but I would suggest taking AP physics or AP bio instead of chemo. My two cents.

AP chem is really difficult if you haven’t taken a chemistry course before. It’s doable, but expect to put a lot more effort in AP Chem than your other classes. Perhaps you can study chem over summer and go over the basics?

And you switched from French to Latin. Colleges usually like consistency in one language, but if you didn’t really like French then it’s understandable to switch early as a sophomore.

Just be aware of the rigor with honors and AP classes. If freshman year seemed like a breeze for you then you should be fine. If you struggled and you tried your hardest, then you may want to reconsider.

What colleges are you looking at?

I actually took Latin 1 and 2 in 9th grade, forgot to put it down and also took french that year. The latin program is really good and this way can take Latin 5 University in my senior year. I’m really not sure about colleges. I think Cornell is cool, but im not sure. I want to do STEM
