Hi,

My daughter got her schedule today and was very excited that she will be heading to college so soon. She got all the courses she requested so that was a big plus. As a parent I asked if she could find out about textbooks so that we could try to find cheaper versions than the basic bookstore cost, but we dont know where that info would be. Can anyone help us???

Thanks in advance!

im looking for the same thing for my textbooks. i don't even know what textbooks i need!lol

Apparently, at syllabus.syr.edu they have "most" classes listed with the books required.

Best to wait to buy books. My new policy is that I won't buy anything until I'm told that I'll definitely be using it. I blew too much money this year on books I never touched, and that was just disappointing.

Thanks, did you go to the first class w/o books, or at what point do you learn what you will actually be needing? My niece has gotten a lot of great used books at either Amazon, or e-bay at super low prices, and we thought if we knew in advance what would be needed we could save some cash in the process.

You can get by going to your first class w/o books, then save money by going to fowlett's. It's tricky business. It could turn out that amazon is cheaper...

check out campusi.com it is the BEST for getting books. ive made money at the end of the semester from buying books online. definatly the way to go.
