For those people who are taking two levels of math in the same year (different semesters):

How is that possible? Does your school seriously compact a year's worth of material into one semester so that you can take two levels of math in the same school year?

I think that's how most people "double-up" on math. If your school is on the block schedule, my understanding is that you take four classes instead of eight and therefore spend twice as long each day but only half the year on each subject so it ends up all working out (if that made any sense at all).

my schools not on a block schedule but ill be going to Ms school for math and science. We can take as many maths and sciences... well you can take like 3 maths and 3 sciences in one semester, that would be crazy tho

My school runs under a block schedule. We have six regularly scheduled periods and a seventh optional one. We alternate between odd classes and even classes with the seventh class meeting everyday for half the time as a regular class.

Yeah, I was just curious because all of the math classes at my school are yearlong affairs and most of the time we don't even get all the way through the book!

And yes, '08 all the way. :]
