If during 2nd semester in senior year, i would be taking 4 ap classes and one elective, would it look bad to be only taking 5 classes and have late arrival if ive completed all of my grad requirements, or does that look really bad? I mean they only see your first semester schedule right? Not that im going to slack off second semester or anything but i am taking 4 ap classes so i could really use a late arrival instead of a 1st period.

Hi lwk-

They see your second semester schedule, all colleges do. When you send in the midyear report, it specifically asks you to list all the classes you're taking both first semester and second semester.

It's up to you, lwk, and there's certainly nothing wrong with taking "just" 5 classes, but I'm curious what class you're giving up. Harvard likes to see that students take every opportunity they have, and stopping one class early isn't usually a great idea. (I know 4 APs can be rough, but hey, people manage with more).

It depends on your specific situation, but if the benefit you gain is just showing up to school later, well... I understand the feeling (I like to sleep in a little too) but I wouldn't recommend it.
