Hi, folks. I have a problem and it pertains to my wanting to go to engineernig schools. Anyway, I can’t fit honors physics or any physics in my schedule. I also don’t have the time to take a physics course at my county college. I have two options. Which of these do you think I should do? If it makes any difference, I’m looking to apply to Ivy and Ivy-caliber schools.

Take an online physics course. Please recommend a course if you advise.

Study honors physics topics on my own (teacher will give me a book) and then take the honors physics final before the early decision deadline and have counselor mention that honors physics grade in her recommendation letter.

Thank you

EPGY, operated through Stanford University, because it is one of the most established online programs and has more credibility than most other online courses. I think you should ask to take the Physics final as well, and have your counselor mention your grade, [subject to how you actually do on the test]

This isn't too bad at all. Thank you. I signed up. I'm going to register soon.

You're welcome! Remember EPGY isn't your average online program. It was originally set up as a supplemental educational program to provide additional advanced enrichment opportunites for gifted students. The pace is fast and it can be frustrating, and you do have to work hard to stay caught up. Good luck!

If this will help me look better to Penn engineering, I'm willing to do the work.

Good for you. Best of luck at Penn!
