Scheduling - AP Gov vs. AP Micro

I’m a very STEM-inclined student going into my senior year. I originally signed up for AP Gov just to have a social studies class, but lately I’ve been considering dropping it to take AP Micro instead (which I’m slightly more interested in). Will it make a difference to colleges if I only have 3 years of history? Should I just keep AP Gov in my schedule (I don’t have room for both)?

No, probably not. What history classes did you already take?

btw: you know that AP Micro is considered a Social Studies/History AP, right?

Both AP Micro and AP Gov count for social sciences, so it really is an either/or choice.

Pick what you enjoy.
Cheers

Thanks for all your responses! MIT specifically asks for a letter of rec from a humanities teacher, though, and econ is a social science…would I still be allowed to ask the econ teacher for the rec letter? I’m probably being paranoid, but just want to make sure.

@noemii‌ - AP World 1, AP World 2, and APUSH this year. (So technically only 2 classes spanned across 3 years)

Yes, that would be fine: as mentioned, Econ is social science.
