Hi, I'm going to be a Freshman at Tisch next year (Cinema Studies) and I'm trying to figure out what ConWest/World Cultures class to take along with what foreign language for my MAP requirements. Can someone whose been in any of these classes elaborate on them (how was the professor, workload, etc.)? That'd be awesome.

World Cultures: Japan
Elementary Japanese I
Elementary French I

... the professors change. Plus, for WC, it's going to be more of the TA than the professor.

For the foreign languages, the professors will probably all be different too. Look, it's your preference. I recently took a class and looked up the professors rating on ratemyprofessors.com and they had an amazing rating. I got there and it was the worst semester of my life. Espec for WC and elementary foreign languages, the professor won't matter much. Just go fight to get in any class at all as a freshmen.
