Hi,

At my last school there was some 7 minutes of leeway between classes. Is there the same buffer at UT? If the buildings are relatively close, could I schedule them one after the other?

Thanks.

^It all depends on what class and where it is located. Personally, I am a fast walker so I can get to class really quick (although my legs start to ache towards the end of the day) and you can also take the bus.

I would recommend about 30 minutes in between so you can get to class and also prepare for lecture or whatnot.

if your class is 1 hour it is actually a 50 minute lecture with 10 minute “passing period”
if your class is an hour and 30 minutes long its actually an hour and 15 minutes long with a 15 minute “passing period”

How long would it generally take to walk from Jester or Moore-Hill to the RLM building?

It is almost always okay to schedule classes back to back but think about this if the first class is one that you might want to stay after class to ask questions.

iambored is right. i had some back to back classes, its not that bad really, but when registering, I would make sure that those classes aren’t too far away, especially if it’s a MWF class. My friend had a problem where her classes were across campus. Didn’t work out too well, and I wouldn’t neccesarily depend on the bus all the time, especially if its the WC bus.

Jester to RLM is around 7 minutes. i lived in jester and had an 8:30 calc discussion in RLM. i usually left around 8:20 (normal-paced walking)-8:25 (speed walking)

Once again thank you samster haha
