Hi, im about to have my scheduling appointment in roughly an hour. At this stage, i have a schedule conflcit because im enrolling in chem 20L and physics 1A, and the only way for me to have both is to have the lab class from 2 while having physics class also at 2. Physics is MTWF from 2, while the only available lab classes are either W or F from 2.

So my question is, would it be a smart idea to go ahead and enroll in both? Im scared that i will end up missing quizzes or worse yet, a mid-term, on lab days.

Were you fortunate to have a good enrollment appointment? I'm guessing that you had at least a decent one if you managed to enroll in a lab class? Finally, are you an engineering student and is it imperative that you take Physics 1A this quarter? I'd prioritize the 20L over Physics 1A since it's annoying to find lab classes. Otherwise, you still have to do Physics 1ABC & 4AL/4BL or some sort of thing like that, non? It is wiser to invest in the 20L since more classes are dependent on completing that requirement... as opposed to say, the lower division physics requirements? For example, 20L --> 30A, 30B & Labs --> and so forth. If anything, Physics 1A has been offered Spring Quarters.

Yes, I am an engineering student. I guess I can drop the 1A course if I have to. Rescheduling 1A wasnt an option because there was only one available time for 1A, and that just happened to conflict with the only available lab slots.

Also, I was thinking of petitioning to the lab professor. How would I go about doing this? I heard something about PTE numbers today through friends.
