Going into senior year, I've a bit of a problem with my schedule. As it stands, I am currently signed up for:

AP Literature
Jazz Band
Computer and Software Engineering (Eng.3, dual enrollment at Embry-Riddle)
AP Chemistry
AP US Government/ AP Macroeconomics
AP Calculus BC

However, I'm planning to head into engineering, preferably nuclear, and I haven't taken calculus based physics yet. My hgihest physics class was a Pre-AP class Junior year (My school didn't have AP until this year). So I'm facing a bit of dilemma: AP Chemistry or AP Physics? Alternatively, I could drop Jazz Band to fit in the extra science.

AP Chemistry:
Pros:
-I've already signed up.
-It's required for my major.
-A lot of my friends are in it.
-Academic Rigor
Cons:
-I haven't taken Chemistry since 10th Grade
-It could use up a slot for Physics
-I don't know the teacher

AP Physics C:
Pros:
-It is good for colleges, and covers two classes
-I know the teacher.
-I've been studying physics over the summer, as well as taking Pre-Ap Junior year, so I have a good grasp of subject material.
-I've learned to like problem solving.
-Academic Rigor
Cons:
-Opportunity Cost
-Few people I know taking the class
-Teachers sometimes under-teaches concepts

Jazz Band:
Pros:
-Fun extracurricular without tons of hw
-Shows commitment to EC
-I was going to take it junior year, but dropped it for other classes. I reauditioned, made it, and told the teacher I would for sure take the class.
Cons:
-Opportunity Cost
-Less Rigor
-I've heard negative things about the teacher

I know that the advice of strange highschoolers on the internet probably isn't what I should base my decision off of. However, hopefully by writing this post and discussing it I will gain a better understanding of how I feel.
