Hey all. My desired freshman schedule is:

Math 20C
Phys 2A
WCWP 10A
VIS 84

VIS 84 is History of Film, which is only offered once a year. Since we're not able to sign up for courses until some random lottery time, and there are already waitlists for it, is it just wishful thinking to think I'll actually make it into the course? Should I keep with my desire schedule, or should I consider another course?

seriously, what's the purpose of worrying about it now?

you should have a couple of other courses you can take if that doesn't work out. just be patient and wait until registration time rolls around.

I'm guessing that you are taking VIS 84 for part of your PofC. In that case, you should take another vis arts class first quarter and aim for 84 during sophomore year. That's pretty much all you can do.

Actually I wanted to minor in film, and Vis 84 seems to be a LD course that serves as a prerequisite for UD Vis film courses.

Hmm that is a problem. Still, if you can't get it frosh year, it's not the end of the world. Focus on GE's and try again next year.
