For a Haas applicant, how okay would it be to take the majority of the pre-reqs (UGBA10, ECON 100A, Math 16B, Stat 21) in the spring of sophomore year? What kind of scheduling would you recommend?

That looks fine.

Uh that doesn’t look good if you are applying for your sophomore year… Leaving the core prereq such as UGBA and Stats 21 is a big no no IMHO.

How about taking the breadth courses in freshman year and the core prereqs + major prereqs in sophomore year?

Also, I’m applying for junior + senior year.

didn’t see that OP would be taking it during the SPRING semester.

I’d have most pre-reqs done before spring of sophomore year. I would at most leave 1 unfinished (definitely not the major ones, like BA10).

My suggestion: Spread out each of the core prereq for each semester if you are worried about them. That way you won’t be overloaded. Don’t wait until one semester to take all 3 prereqs. Risky risky!

I would certainly not leave UGBA 10 until the spring of your sophomore year. Generally, Haas applicants (at least those with econ as their back-up major) take Stats 20/21 and Econ 100/101 A/B in the spring of their sophomore year, but you could likely substitute another class for the aforementioned econ class except for UGBA 10. I’d try to complete at most one pre-req, if any, during the spring of your sophomore year, while finishing the rest at any point before then.

don’t do it, it’s a trap
