SCHEDULING (h.s.)

So I know it's like really early for scheduling questions, but I know I'm going to have this problem eventually, so I thought I'd post before the onslaught of "schedules!" threads start, haha.

I'm interested in Art and Humanities, specifically History

So for next year I definitely want to take:
AP European History
AP Literature
AP Art History
AP U.S. Gov't and Pol't (1/2 Year)
College Sociology (1/2 Year)

Dilemma:
I have 3.5 extra periods (including gym).
I don't know if I should bother taking Calculus or not, since I would probably hate it. If I do I would either take Calc Honors or AP Calc AB.
Also, idk if I should take a science. I would take AP Bio but I had the teacher freshman year and I hate her and Forensics Honors is a pretty hard course even though its only a 1/2 year
Other electives I could take are College Marketing, Basic/Advanced Photography, or Basic/Advanced Computer Graphics.
I'd also enjoy having a first period study hall so I could get Late Arrival (my school starts at 7:20 and sleeping in for 45 min would be heaven). Oh and it's possible that I might be able to convince the Art dept. head to let me take AP Studio Art if I show her my portfolio from outside art classes.

Any suggestions?

Background, if you need it:
Courses Taken
8th Grade (included on transcript with credit): French 1 Honors, Global History 1 Honors, English 9-Honors, Math 9-Honors, Earth Science Honors
9th Grade: French 2 Honors, AP World History, English 10-Honors, Math 10-Honors, Biology Honors, Studio Art 1
10th Grade: French 3 Honors, AP U.S. History, English 11-Honors, Math 11-Honors, Chemistry Honors, Architecture, Digital Photography, Fashion Design
11th Grade: French 4 Honors, AP Macro/Microeconomics, AP Lang, Math 12-Honors, AP Statistics, AP Physics B, Health (req)

In total, I've taken 4 French Courses, 4 Social Studies Courses, 5 Math Courses, 4 Physics Courses, 4 English Courses, and 4 Electives

I would, generally speaking, suggest taking at least either a Math class or a Science class, though taking both would be good, too. Do you know for sure that you'll hate both? If so, I'd advise you to take the one you'll hate less. If the only problem is the teacher, ask your school if it is possible to take a similar class at a local college or something. I think it'd be better to have at least one math or science class.

Don't kill yourself with 6-7 APs, though. Take either science or math, or if you decide to take both, don't take studio art.

thnx
anyone else?

anyoneeee?

Do you have enough fine arts for the UC application? Is honors French the same as AP or can you still take AP? I tend to agree with teenage about math and science. Taking Calc in HS would give you a great head start on college Calc, even if you don't make top grades in it. All that physics and you're worried about calc? Go for it.

I'm already taking honors and my teacher is really bad so I wouldnt be able to take the exam even if I did take AP so there's no pt.
I guess I'll take calc. prob. Honors though.

I don't think I'll be applying to UC's....I live in NY
