Scheduling help for freshman english major at UC Berkeley?

Hi, my Telebears appointment is today and I am having trouble picking courses to take with so little guidance. I am currently enrolled in:
English 45B
History 5
Freshman Seminar: Jane Austen
I have a total of 9 units so far and I hope to take 13-14 units my first semester. What classes should I enroll in? Everything I am interested in is full or conflicts with my current classes. PLEASE HELP! (and quickly, my appointment is now)
If it helps, I am interested in going into publication.
I've satisfied entry level writing and earned a 6 on my IBHL English exam. I also satisfied Quantitative Reasoning with a SAT II score of 520 or higher in Math II and Foreign Language requirement with a grade of C or better in the third year of a high school foreign language. I've satisfied Am History and Inst with a grade of C or better in one year of US History.
An adviser I spoke with at CalSo said I don't necessarily need to take math my first semester since I satisfied my quantitative reasoning.

I’d suggest using schedule.berkeley.edu (online catalog) to find the courses that are left that satisfy your major prerequisites or breadth requirements. You could also consider signing up for a decal class when the school year starts.

Unfortunately we’re freshmen, so chances are we won’t get our first choice for all the classes we want.

Thanks for the input. I think I have it figured out. I enrolled in Religious Studies 90A.
That makes my schedule:
English 45B MWF 2-3
History 5 TuTh 11-12:30 W 4-6
English 24 Tu 2-4
ReligSt 90A MWF 12-1 Th 4-5
How does that look? That brings me to 13 units. Do you think it will be a problem to have classes with only one hour in between? For instance, on Wednesday, I have a class from 12-1 and then 2-3 and then 4-5. Will that work?

^ That works, but you’ll find that the one hour breaks will be kind of annoying. Most people try to schedule their classes back-to-back as much as possible (except, perhaps, for a lunch break).

Yeah, the 1 hour thing gets old really fast. Not enough time to go home or work out, so typically I would just sit on campus with a chocolate soy milk and stare at the notes I’d taken the hour before. Or sleep with my head between my knees in Dwinelle when it rained, lol. Your schedule looks fine if you’re cool with the evening classes…that would be hell for me…
