I'm an international student coming to Cal this fall; intended major MCB but that might change. However, I'm planning my schedule assuming that I do declare MCB. How's this for my schedule?

*I do A-Level and I emailed the MCB Advisor about waived courses, given I get the grades, I won't need to take;
BIO 1A/1AL
MATH 1A/1B
CHEM 1A/1AL
I've also already satisfied the Quantitative Reasoning (SAT I, SAT II) and Foreign Language (GCSE German)

So here goes; (the *ed ones are MCB lower division prereqs)

Semester1 -
*PHY 8A (fulfills Physical Science)
*BIO 1B (fulfills Biological Science)
COLWRIT R1A
GEOG 10 (fulfills International Studies)
Total Units = 18

Semester2 -
*CHEM 3A/3AL
*PHY 8B
Reading & Comp.2
ANTH2AC (fulfills Social & Behavioral, American Cultures)

Semester3 -
*CHEM 3B/3BL
Breadth/Elective
Breadth/Elective
Breadth/Elective

Thanks for any help! :)

College Writing R1A is for those students who have not fulfilled the Entry Level Writing Requirement. If you have fulfilled it, you can take College Writing R4A or any of several other reading and composition A courses.

If you have taken the A-level English exam with a grade of A, B, or C, you have satisfied the L&S reading and composition requirement.

If you may decide to major in something other than MCB, what might it be? You may want to consider taking courses that work to that major as well as MCB.

I haven’t fulfilled the Entry Level Writing Requirement, so I’ll be taking the Advanced Writing Placement Examination at Cal in September, I understand that those who haven’t taken the exam must take CW R1A? I don’t take A Level English so I can’t satisfy it that way.
It’s unlikely that I’ll change my mind from MCB, but most of the majors I’m interested in require some of the same courses and I’ve satisfied some of them already.

Anyway, if I do decide to go with MCB (most likely), how is the balance/work load etc. of the schedule I’ve planned in the original post?

OK after researching more courses and finally understanding how the Entry Level Writing and R&W requirement works… how is this?
