Scheduling help

Trying to double major in business (if I get into Haas) and psychology.

Freshman 1st semester
1. Statistics 20 or Statistics 21
2. Anthropology 3AC with Hayden
3. Legal Studies 39D with Pomerantz
4. ???

What should I take for my 4th class?
Which is easier? Stats 20 or Stats 21?
Do you think I can handle this schedule along with Math 16A?

Thanks!

if you already took AP Calculus BC (and got a decent grade ) then 1A should be a breeze. Just simple derative stuff but a lot more theory based.
For business you can just take Math16a though, it’s the same class but a lot easier

Legalst 39D is full just so you know. I’m pretty sure there haven’t been any CalSo’s yet so all the spots in the class went to Sophomores, I believe.

Instead, I’d recommend that you take Psych 1 so that you get a feel for the workload and atmosphere of the department so that you can decide whether or not you want to continue to pursue psych as a major.

Math 16B is definitely do-able with that schedule; in all honesty, the 16 series for math is a complete joke.

Is Math 16A and 16B really easy? I heard that it was much harder than AP Calculus AB and BC.

^P.S. I don’t need to take Psych 1 b/c I took the AP test and got a 5 on it so it waives that req.

What was your AP score? If you get a 5 on BC, you can complete the math requirement for business with any one of 16B, 1B, 53, or 54 (no need to take 16A or 1A).

As far as how difficult the Berkeley courses are, you can check the old final exams in the links found in the http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-berkeley/1305840-freshman-math-faq.html</a> .

Unfortunately, I got a 4 on the BC exam (senioritis came early). So I have to take all the classes, again.
