Scheduling issue, plz help

Hey~ I have a scheduling problem and would appreciate any suggestions :D thnx.
I'm a junior and so far my schedule for next year has:
AP English Lit, AP Calc BC, AP US Gov, Spanish 4, AP Physics C, and Honors Mentorship. As a junior, I'm allowed to take up to two classes (takes up two periods each) at the state university next year as a senior. I have room for one and am considering Chemistry, Biology, or Chinese.

My problem is with Spanish 4. Why? Because there are other classes i would rather take but most of the colleges i'm looking at highly suggest I take 4 years of the same language. Do any colleges Require applicants take 4 years of the same language? I considered taking Chinese as my college class and replacing Spanish with AP Stats or something but some of my friends say that that wouldn't be a good idea because I am Chinese American and people might think i took that class just to get an easy "A" or something (my chinese actually sucks... but they don't know that). So I have no idea what i should do. Either Chinese and another AP class is better than a College science course plus Spanish 4 or the other way around...

Any help would be highly appreciated~ Gracias XD

I don't think any colleges require four years.....some recommend four years, but if you don't like it, then don't take it.

One uni class takes up one period at your school?? That's pretty harsh. At my school, we can do dual enrollment at a nearby CC that could probably take up to 3 classes. I know some kids taking 4 classes at my school and one at the CC (and we have a 7 period day).

Mmm the 4 years of foreign lang is just a recommendation, even if it says it's required. I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you did three (like myself) to take extra courses in a subject you're passionate about.

thanks for your advice :D

I don't think 4 years of the same language is required anywhere... but either way you'll have a language. Depends on whether you prefer science or chinese i guess...
