I just started my junior year of high school a week ago and I have a problem. I absolutely hate my schedule.

I planned it so I would have 4 AP's this year: Spanish, Gov, English, and U.S. History. I thought this was a great plan until I got to high school and I found out that I'm dreadfully alone the whole day. This might not seem like such a big deal to other CC's but I've been feeling so isolated from everyone I know that I've had borderline panic attacks when I get home. Today when I stayed after for Young Democrats and got to talk to a couple people I like for an hour I came home feeling so much better. My only option to escape my schedule is to drop AP Gov and replace it with advanced heredity, a non-AP class. I don't know if this is an advisable thing to do as a junior; I want to get into a good college and I don't know if it's critical to have 4 AP's this year and 4 AP's next (I had two last year and would probably take AP Calc, Stat, Eng Lit, and a science next year). In addition biology is not my favorite subject and I didn't originally have any plans to take AP Bio next year so the heredity class might look strange to colleges. I know this year I have to prepare for and take the PSAT, SAT, and ACT, as well as SAT II tests and AP tests, which is plenty of stress on its own. I also plan to study and take AP Chinese at the end of the year as well because I have some background in Chinese. I don't know if studying for both AP Spanish and Chinese as well as three other APs would be massively overwhelming at the end of the year or whether dropping AP gov would mitigate that stress.

On top of this, I plan to crack down on extracurriculars this year (I'd be studying Chinese really hard, volunteering, possibly tutoring Spanish) and I'm not entirely sure if having AP gov would interfere with that. I also have some concerns about whether being miserable and lonely at school would interfere with my performance. I have to e-mail my counselor tonight and decide. What should I do? Thanks for any advice.
