Scheduling issues

I really want to get into the beginning ice skating PE class next semester, but as it turns out, there's a conflict with a class I literally only have once a week (AEM 1102). I'm considering emailing the instructor about missing the class of Mondays, but even if I do somehow get into the PE class, would the student center allow me to add both courses?

Student center will not allow you to add both courses.

There are two courses that Linda teaches, “Intro ice skating” and “intro figure skating” and they are usually back to back in times. She lets you substitute classes from one into the other, so you should be able to come an hour later or earlier for those other days.

I would e-mail her still, though.

Yeah, I noticed that yesterday. I’d really only be able to go at the earlier hour on Friday, but that’s certainly better than only two classes out of three each week.

You assume that my other time slots are empty, too (along with some other things). I might not be able to get in the class, but I’m not going to sit around and do nothing.

^I’m in the intro to ice skating class right now and it is fantastic! I just did recreational skating occasionally (like once every few years) but now I am improving quite a bit! Maybe see if you can just show up and not take the class for credit but still pay the fee and rent the skates?

Is it possible to get into the class without technically adding it into the “system”?

Anybody?..

there is no way as a professor i’d let you skip an ACADEMIC class for a PE class LOOL

your best bet is just to put off PE if you MUST have that figure skating class and wait until you’re done with required courses.

I guess I was too vague in my first post. I was referring to the PE, not the required course. This topic isn’t really going anywhere, though, so meh.
