Scheduling Lectures with Sections

When looking at possible schedules, I see that Math 192 lectures have a certain sub-course which is the section. Is it possible to mix and match lectures with sections? For example, take Lecture 7 with Section 3?

Here is the link for those who do not know what I am talking about:

Generally not, if it's listed in that manner. You can talk to the professor however if you would like special accomodations.

i dont think it matters, even though you are enrolled in one section, you can just go to the other lecture and if there are evening prelims then it won't matter. i guess it depends if there are quizzes/attendance on the class

Generally it doesn't matter, however for that specific case you DO need to sign up for the same lecture/section. That's because the prof of each specific lecture works closely with the TA in the respective section to make the course more focused for incoming freshmen (or some other lame reason).

I can't speak for that class specifically, but I know for my classes that have 2 different lectures, the sections are drastically different. One professor may go over lecture in the sections while the other professor may have TAs do practice prelim questions. Stick with the lecture/section unless need be.
